Matt – Been working on reducing my YouTube viewing time, at least on youtube, by switching everything to RSS. It has been wondeful.

Matt 2022 Predictions

Solus will fold. As in not exist.
Canonical Will become more obsessed with Flutter
Discord will see some kind of huge scandal

Tyler 2022 Predictions

This Year will be the end of Matrix, but the year of Element. Element will compete with Discord. Also Grid mode (also Matt was right about you being wrong)
Distributions based on Ubuntu, will no longer be based on Ubuntu [x though maybe, as some has started to not use snaps]
The SteamDeck will see most people running Windows on it

Matt 2023 Predictions

Valve Will Not Release a SteamDeck2 This Year
Microsoft Will Buy Something Big In the Linux World.
We'll see more classic window managers move to Wayland this year (bspwm, dwm, openbox), or at least they will begin making a plan to do so.

Tyler 2023 Predictions

Web3, NFT's, Crypto, and Metaverse bullcrap will see heavy regulation as many more scams get properly investigated by authorities. As well as people losing interest.
I will start streaming on YouTube every day.
AI and Linux will become a big part of a lot of small companies success.
